Following an extensive search process, the Board of Directors of the Victoria Hospital Foundation (VHF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cody Barnett as the Foundation’s new Executive Director, effective June 1, 2022. Cody brings nearly fifteen years of experience in fundraising, marketing, donor and community engagement, and non-profit leadership. For the past seven years, Cody has been the Director of Development, Saskatchewan, and the National Director of Campaigns & Major Gifts with the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Previously, he has held positions with the University of Saskatchewan, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and other organizations.

Cody joins the VHF at an exciting time as the Ministry of Health and Saskatchewan Health Authority will be undertaking a major capital renovation and physical expansion of the Victoria Hospital over the next few years. He will lead our team of volunteers and employees to new levels of success as we reach for our ambitious goal of a new hospital for the north.

“As a relative newcomer to Prince Albert, it is incredible to see what the community has accomplished when it comes together. The outpouring of support for the new NICU is one such example of this.I am excited to work with the donors, volunteers, staff, and Indigenous partners to provide greater access to enhanced and inclusive health care close to home. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people not only in Prince Albert but across northern Saskatchewan.”
Cody Barnett, Executive Director, VHF
